You gotta come for the food!
Ok, this is my first review. I signed up specifically to rate this restaurant. Normally I take the reviews posted here with a big grain of salt but the previous posters were bang on about the food.

I'm a bit picky when it comes to food, I hate eating super watered down versions of traditional foods to meet the caucasian taste. I also can't claim to be an expert on Indian food, but I did grow up in Surrey!

I don't really care about ambiance and decor that much. This place here wasn't too bad for either of those really, but the food was great. We ordered chai tea for four and got four cups full of tea delivered and a pot to go along with it! And, it was the best tasting restaurant chai tea I've had. Every dish we ordered was excellent (if you like it hot, you have to ask for it otherwise it comes out quite mild), the naan bread was perfect, service was pretty good.

I'm pretty sure I've eaten at every Indian restaurant in the tri-cities and this place is my fave. Definitely recommend it to anyone.

Very happy with the food
Been here two or three times - all for dinner and each time relatively early (around 5pm) so service was quick as the place was pretty much empty.
The food was great - I remember a tomato/lamb curry dish that was very good.
Don't find that we're in Maple Ridge very often for dinner and as a result don't return as often as we would if it were closer to home.
Very definitely worth a try if you've never be

My favorite Indian restaurant
I've tried several Indian restaurants over the years around the Lower Mainland & GM is consistently one of the best. They are just as good if not better than many of the higher priced, more "stylish" Indian restaurants in Vancouver. It's a family run business & the people are friendly & food is excellent.
